2015
Origins and Growth:
The Beginning of Marketplace Risk
Marketplace Risk began as an informal working group of founders, executives, and operators from various marketplaces and digital platforms who came together to explore best practices and to learn how to better identify and mitigate risks. Over time, the group grew to include a variety of verticals, as well as the solution providers and vendors they rely on. In 2015, the working group launched the first, and the world’s largest, conference focused on trust and safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, legal strategy, and technology innovation specifically designed for marketplaces and digital platforms: the Marketplace Risk Management Conference in San Francisco, California, USA.
2019
Expanding Across the Atlantic:
Marketplace Risk Global Summit
In 2019, Marketplace Risk launched the Marketplace Risk Global Summit, hosted by Lloyd’s of London at their world headquarters, in London, UK. This event has grown to be the largest marketplace conference in Europe, regularly hosting founders, leaders, and experts from 40+ countries throughout Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and beyond!
2024
Reaching New Heights:
Marketplace Risk New York Conference
After an incredible amount of interest to expand our programming, in 2024 Marketplace Risk launched the Marketplace Risk New York Conference, hosted in the heart of New York City. The newest conference has already become the largest conference for marketplaces and digital platforms on the East Coast!
2025
Expanding to the South:
Marketplace Risk Austin Conference
We’re thrilled to announce that in 2025 we launched the Marketplace Risk Austin Conference (MRATX25) for the first time on February 27, 2025
