This week we caught up with one of our newest Advisory Board members, Humphrey Bowles, to get his thoughts about what motivated him to join the Marketplace Risk Advisory Board.
Humphrey is on a mission to solve the trust and protection gap of 250 million short-term/vacation rental hosts, operators and guests. Humphrey is the co-founder and CEO of SUPERHOG, an award winning, globally established, trust and safety SaaS platform which provides fraud prevention, ID verification, intelligent user screening and embedded insurance. Simultaneously, SUPERHOG answers three fundamentally important questions: Who is the user? Can you trust them? What happens when something goes wrong? Before SUPERHOG, Humphrey founded GUARDHOG – the world’s first usage-based insurer – providing insurance for sharing economy marketplaces and P2P platforms. Humphrey’s mission is to make an impact on the way trust and safety is approached, putting in place the right tools and processes to mitigate risk.
Our Advisory Board is the very lifeblood of everything we do at Marketplace Risk. From conferences and virtual events to resources and advice for startups, our board takes a hands-on approach to providing indispensable insight and guidance, drawing on their broad experience that spans a multitude of platforms and industries. We are so excited to welcome Humphrey to the Advisory Board!
As Marketplace Risk continues to grow, we have expanded our Advisory Board, with calls for new members who can use their skills and experience to help startups. We asked Humphrey a few questions to get to know him better:
